Google announced a ton of new hardware earlier this week, including the Pixel and Pixel XL, the Daydream View VR, Google Home, Google Wifi and more. Starting later this month, the company will open a pop-up shop to show those gadgets off. A “Made By Google” store is set to open on October 20 in New York City just a few blocks away from the SoHo Apple Store.
Google’s website leaves out a few important details. There’s no mention of how long the pop-up will stay open, though it may only last through the holiday season.
It’s probably safe to assume that all of Google’s new products will be on display in one fashion or another. The smartphones will be the only products ready for launch at that point, however, so you almost certainly won’t be able to buy the other gadgets.
According to an earlier report, Google is actually planning to launch multiple Daydream VR pop-ups around New York City starting this month. The company’s website currently only lists a single location, however. Alternatively, the virtual reality headset might also show up in locations like Best Buy and Verizon stores where the Pixel phones will be sold.
I’ll definitely be checking out Google’s pop-up once it opens later this month. I can’t wait to try out the Pixel phones, Daydream View and everything else the company announced.
