Chinese tech giant LeEco, which hosted an event in San Francisco on Wednesday to discuss its U.S. debut, announced the launch of the LeEco LePro3, a new smartphone bound for the U.S. market.
The LeEco LePro3, the company’s first smartphone to launch in America, sports a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch 1080p display, USB-C, 64GB of storage, a 16MP camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a massive 4,070mAh battery. LeEco said the device will offer 49 hours of music playback or 12 hours of video on a single charge and, thanks to Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0, will juice up to 33 percent after just 20 minutes at the outlet.
The LeEco LePro3 runs LeEco’s EUI software, which puts a focus on video content offered by LeEco and its streaming partners. Users can swipe right on the home screen to access a panel full of TV shows, movies and more. It costs just $399, putting it in direct competition with other unlocked devices like the OnePlus 3 and the Honor 8. If you visit the source link below and take advantage of an instant rebate, the price is just $299.
You can also opt to purchase LeEco’s EcoPass subscription that includes 5TB cloud storage, unlimited photo storage, 3-year extended warranty on TVs, two-year extended warranty, unlimited access to FanDor movies and discounts on other LeEco services. EcoPass is free for 3 months with the purchase of the Le Pro3, though LeEco didn’t explain how much it will cost once that time is up.
The LeEco LePro3 will launch in gold on November 2. A gray color is “coming soon.”
