We brought you the first images of Huawei’s new wearable, the Huawei Fit, last night. Now we’re back with a picture of the device on a store shelf in the United States. A tipster informed us that the Huawei Fit is already in stock in some Best Buy locations, or at least one location where it was spotted, and now we know a bit more about the price and release date.
Our tipster said the Huawei Fit isn’t for sale yet, but that it’s already in stock ahead of its release on November 4. It’s always possible this could release elsewhere first, like on Huawei’s website, but it’s clearly inbound any day now. We’re told the wearable will cost $129.99.
Huawei Fit sports e Ink display, expected to debut tomorrow
Little else is known about the fitness watch beyond what we already brought you yesterday. It appears to have an e-ink display and is capable of tracking fitness activities like swimming, while also recording stats like calories burned, steps taken and other data. Pebble also uses e Ink displays, and it helps the company’s wearables offer really solid battery life, so that’s probably Hauwei’s strategy here given Android Wear seems to be in limbo right now.
Huawei has its press conference in Munich tomorrow. We expect the company to announce the new Mate 9 smartphone during the event, and likely the Huawei Fit, too.
