Viveport, the marketplace where you can buy virtual reality apps and games for your HTC Vive headset, is now available worldwide. HTC is celebrating its launch with big discounts on many titles — some of which are selling for just $1.
Until now, the primary place to buy content for your HTC Vive was the Steam store, thanks to HTC’s partnership with Valve. However, the Taiwanese company debuted the Viveport in China back in April, and now it’s available in 30 new countries.
“Building on the fast growth and success of virtual reality gaming, Viveport features immersive experiences across additional categories where you can explore new worlds, create things, connect with friends and experience stories in new, immersive ways,” HTC says.
“We believe Viveport is the place where you will begin your journey into new virtual reality experiences.”
Viveport hosts more than a dozen VR titles that are now available outside of Asia for the first time, and HTC promises that more are on the way in the coming weeks and months. Users will also find Viveport Premieres, which are titles that will hit Viveport first.
During the first 48 hours of launch, Viveport will offer some titles for just $1, including theBlu, Mars Odyssey, The Music Room, and Firebird – La Peri. You can visit the store at www.viveport.com.
