Google Pixel vs iPhone 7 spec shootout: Has Apple met its match?

Apple’s iPhone 7 had a nice head start, but now the Pixel is here. Google‘s new flagship phone is finally official. So let’s compare it to the latest from Cupertino.

From a hardware perspective, the iPhone 7 is largely outmatched. Google crammed in the type of specs found in other power-hungry flagship Android phones, though Apple’s new Fusion A10 chip may put Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon processor to shame. As for the design, the two devices look pretty similar upfront, but there are some big differences in back.

You’ll also want to consider software too before making any final decisions. The Pixel runs the latest version of Android Nougat, along with a few extra perks from Google, while the iPhone 7 runs Apple’s iOS 10. So if you have a strong preference between Android and iOS this is a pretty easy choice, though both operating systems have their strengths and weaknesses.

Check out the full spec-by-spec breakdown below, and stay tuned for plenty more Pixel coverage coming soon.
