Another year, another CES. At the annual event in Sin City, companies from around the world showed off the best they have to offer, from concept cars to laptops with three displays. There were also plenty of robots, 4K TVs, and even an 8K monitor from Dell. But perhaps the biggest surprise of the show was how many different places we saw Alexa—Amazon’s AI was in everything from speakers to a phone from Huawei.
Before the show floor even opened Faraday Future was grabbing headlines with its FF 91, an autonomous SUV the company hopes to begin production of in 2018. The vehicle sports a number of crazy features, including facial recognition, a battery range of up to 378 miles, and three electric motors good for 1050 HP.
This is my fourth CES now and I don’t recall the show ever being so exciting. Nvidia announced a new Shield TV, Google said its Assistant platform is coming to Android TV, and a number of really cool laptops were unveiled. Samsung also introduced an awesome new line of Chromebooks, which will run Google’s newest and best version of ChromeOS when they launch.
Check out the video above to see everything that this year’s CES had to offer. There were Alexa-powered robots, insanely thin TVs from LG, and a lot of really cool appliances. Yes, home appliances can be exciting.
