The upcoming DTEK60 smartphone from BlackBerry has leaked out in a new press photos ahead of its official debut. The device looks somewhat similar to the midrange DTEK50, but it is expected to deliver much more exciting specifications.
BlackBerry inadvertently leaked its specifications for the DTEK60 last week. It’s the Canadian company’s first smartphone with USB-C connectivity and a fingerprint scanner, and it combines those things with Qualcomm’s latest Snadpragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM.
The all-touch device is also expected to offer a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 32GB of internal storage, a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and the BlackBerry convenience key.
Thanks to the leaked press photos above from WinFuture.de, we now get to take a look at the DTEK60 for the first time. It looks similar to the DTEK50 at first glance, but appears to be packing curved glass front and back like Samsung’s latest Galaxy smartphones.
According to the report that accompanies this image, the DTEK60 will make its official debut on October 11. It’s expected to cost $699 CAD in Canada, which roughly translates into $530 in the U.S. and €470 in Europe.
