Alienware releases a 13-inch VR capable Notebook, the first of its kind

Today, Dell and Alienware released the Alienware 13, what they’re calling the world’s first 13.3-inch VR-capable Notebook.

In its base (standard) form, the Notebook is a solid gaming rig. It can be scaled up, though, and the high-end machine is pretty insane. For starters, you can choose between an LCD or OLED display. The base form starts at $1,199.99. The OLED bumps it up to $2099. From there, it’s configurable. Here are the specs, both standard and optional.

Alienware 13 is actually priced pretty well

Maybe it’s just because I’m freshly finished staring down the barely of a “high-end” MacBook Pro that’s selling for more than $4,000, but this Alienware machine looks like it’ll bring gaming to laptops at a much more compelling price point.

I’m down with that.

Now, it does get more expensive as you add components, but the laptop is priced reasonably at each stage. Having a high-end, VR-capable laptop sounds pretty awesome to me. Alienware just earned a place on my list of sellers to check when my current notebook dies. Hit the source link to see it on Dell’s site.
