2017 Chevy Bolt pricing and configurator are out! See ya later, Model 3

Still waiting on that Model 3 to come out? Well, if you’re waiting on the sidelines and waiting to see, you’re going to have to wait a couple of years at least before you can get your rump in the driver’s seat of Tesla’s “affordable” EV.

Then again, you could check out the 2017 Chevy Volt, and you could build and price yours right now and get one shortly. If you go for the base, LT model, you’d be spending about $37,495 before tax. The more premium “Premier” trim starts at $41,780 and goes up to $43,905, sans any dealer-added options. With federal incentives, the LT trim comes in right at $29,995, or a bit ;ess if you live in state with additional EV incentives.

Even the base LT trim comes with plenty of bells and whistles including a 10.2-inch touch display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, a rear camera, keyless open and start, and LED daytime running lights.

The basic Premier trim will get you roof rails, chrome accents, leather-appointed seats, surround vision, blind zone alert, cross-traffic alert, rear park assist and bunch of other features. Both models boast an EPA estimate of 238 miles of range on a full charge.

The Chevy Bolt is here… sort of

The Chevy Bolt officially launched on November 28, though not in all states. Californians and Oregonians are the first to get the new Bolt EV; the car will launch in additional markets this spring. Even if you live in California or Oregon, however, that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to snag one just yet. It is, after all, a brand new car and supplies are limited. Check out the link below to get your Chevy Bolt configured today.
